Tracey Emin

Tracey Emin Art Foundation

Tracey Emin launched TKE Studios in 2023. A complex of buildings in Margate, Kent measuring 30,000 sq feet were converted into state of the art Sculpture and Painting Studios, living accomodation and a pool. Emin has said it is her intention to convert this into a museum of her own work when she dies. A nearby site has been developed into a non-profit Art Foundation T.E.A.R ( Tracey Emin Artist Residency) comprising 30 Artist Studios, a museum,  life-drawing studios and sculpture park, serving the community.

" I love Art, and I love property, and this way I am combining both my loves and doing a bit of good" Emin stated that after her aggressive invasive cancer diagnosis last year, she has had a renewed sense of purpose, had "seen the light" and felt a driving impulse to create a revolutionary Artists Haven in Margate, where she grew up.

The Artists selected for the 18 month Art School residency are taught, by Emin herself and a long enviable list of visiting tutors such as artists Rachel Whitbread, Jake Chapman, Harland Miller, renowned art critics, auction house and museum presidents, curators, journalists and writers. They are all renumerated with one of Emins drawings.

The Residency culminates in a Final Show :We Do Not Sleep    Opens on 9th March 2024.
